• Description: Murine macrophage inflammatory protein-1 (MRP2, CCF18) is a monokine with inflammatory, pyrogenic and chemokinetic CC properties. When murine MIP-1 binds to a high affinity receptor it activates CC calcium release in neutrophils. It also inhibits colony formation CC of bone marrow myeloid immature progenitors.

• Biologically Activity: The biological activity of murine MIP-1 was determined by a chemotaxis assay. Significant chemotaxis was achieved at a concentration of 100 ng/ml.
• Reconstitution: The lyophilised murine MIP-1 is soluble in water and most aqueous buffers. The lyophilised MIP-1γ can be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 1 mg/ml. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored frozen for future use.
• Stability: The lyophilised protein, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated below 0°C. Reconstituted murine MIP-1 should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
