Cat.No. : | CCL5-312R Optional Service: Optional requirements on this protein |
Product Overview : | Recombinant rat CCL5 (NP_038681.2) (Ser25-Ser92) was expressed with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. |
Description : | Chemokines are a family of small chemotactic cytokines, or proteins secreted by cells. Chemokines share the same structure similarities such as small size, and the presence of four cysteine residues in conserved l centigradeations in order to form their 3-dimensional shape. Some of the chemokines are considered pro-inflammatory which can be induced to recruit cells of the immune system to a site of infection during an immune response, while others are considered homeostatic and are implied in controlling the migration of cells during normal pr centigradeesses of tissue maintenance and development. There are four members of the chemokine family: C-C kemokines, C kemokines, CXC kemokines and CX3C kemokines. The C-C kemokines have two cysteines nearby the amino terminus. There have been at least 27 distinct members of this subgroup reported for mammals, called C-C chemokine ligands-1 to 28. Chemokin ligand 5(CCL5) is chemotactic for T cells, basophils and eosinophils. Chemokin ligand 5(CCL5) has been considered a HIV-supressor secreted by CD8+ T cells and other immune cells. Chemokin ligand 5(CCL5) is a key to activating recruit leuk centigradeytes into inflammatory sites and in the presence of particular cytokines released by T cells, it can change the NK cells into CHAK cells. |
Source : | Yeast |
Species : | Rat |
Tag : | His |
Predicted N Terminal : | Ser 25 |
Form : | Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4. Normally 5 %- 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween80 are added as protectants before lyophilization. |
Molecular Mass : | The recombinant rat CCL5 consists of 78 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 9.2 kDa. |
Protein length : | Ser25-Ser92 |
Endotoxin : | < 1.0 EU per μg protein as determined by the LAL method. |
Purity : | > 95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
Storage : | Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at-70 centigrade. Store it under sterile conditions at-20 centigrade to-80 centigrade. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
Reconstitution : | It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.2 ug/ul. Centrifuge the vial at 4ºC before opening to recover the entire contents. |
