| Description : | Apn1 is the major AP endonuclease in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisia. It is homologous to the E. coli endonuclease IV. It is a key enzyme in the base excision repair pathways. Apn1 cleaves DNA at the 5’ side of the AP site, yielding a 3’ OH terminus and a 5’ dRP (deoxyribose phosphate) moiety at the DNA nick. |
