Source : E. coli
Species : Human
Predicted N Terminal : Met
Form : Lyophilized from sterile 50 mM Tris, 300 mM NaCl, pH 7.0, 5 % trehalose, 5 % mannitol and 0.01% Tween80.
Bio-activity : Measured in a cell proliferation assay using TF‑1 human erythroleukemic cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.05-0.2 ng/mL. The specific activity of recombinant human IL-4 is approximately 1.4 x 10^4 IU/μg, which is calibrated against human IL-4 WHO International Standard (NIBSC code: 88/656).
Molecular Mass : The GMP recombinant human IL4 consisting of 130 amino acids and migrates with an apparent molecular mass of 15 kDa as predicted.
Endotoxin : < 0.01 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Purity : > 95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage : Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20°C to -80°C. Store it under sterile conditions at -20°C to -80°C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitution : It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.25 mg/ml. Centrifuge the vial at 4°C before opening to recover the entire contents.
Shipping : In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped at ambient temperature.
Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid. They are shipped out with blue ice unless customers require otherwise.
