Description : |
Interleukin-15 (IL-15) is a T-cells growth factor, together with G-CSF, GM-CSF, IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, and IL-9, IL-15 belongs to the four α-helix bundle family of cytokine. IL-15 stimulates cell proliferation and activation of natural killer (NK) cells and T cells. CD8+ memory T cell number is controlled by a balance between IL-15 and IL-2. It plays an important role in both innate and adaptive immunity system. |
Bio-activity : |
The activity was measured by its ability to stimulate the proliferation of CTLL-2 cells cells. |
