Description : |
IL-1 includes two pleiotropic cytokines, IL-1α and IL-1β. Both IL-1α and IL-1β bind to the same receptor and have similar, if not identical, biological properties. IL-1β is a proinflammatory cytokine produced in a variety of cells, including monocytes, tissue macrophages, keratinocytes, and other epithelial cells. These cytokines have a broad range of activities including the stimulation of thymocyte proliferation by inducing IL-2 release, B-cell maturation and proliferation, and fibroblast growth factor activity. |
Form : |
Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered solution in PBS without carrier protein |
Bio-activity : |
The activity was measured by its ability to stimulate the proliferation of the proliferation of mouse D10S cells. |
Molecular Mass : |
18-25 kDa |
Endotoxin : |
<0.5EU/ug |
Purity : |
>95% by SDS-PAGE |
Storage : |
Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. In general: 12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -80 centigrade as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8 centigrade under sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3 months, -20 to -80 centigrade under sterile conditions after reconstitution. |
Reconstitution : |
Briefly centrifuge the vial before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the protein in sterile PBS containing 0.1% endotoxin-free recombinant human serum albumin. |
