Active Recombinant Human PAK1, GST-tagged

Cat.No. : PAK1-1259H
Product Overview : Recombinant Rac/Cdc42 (p21) binding domain (PBD) of the human p21 activated kinase 1 protein (PAK) protein has been expressed as a GST-fusion protein in E. coli

Description : Serine/threonine-protein kinase PAK 1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PAK1 gene.
Source : E. coli
Species : Human
Tag : GST
Form : lyophilized. 50 mM Tris pH 7.5, 50 mM NaCl, 1.0% (w/v) dextran and 5% (w/v) sucrose.
Bio-activity : The PAK-PBD protein specifically recognizes and binds to the active, GTP-bound, form of Rac and Cdc42. Biological activity of PAK-PBD protein is therefore tested by its selectivity for GTPγS loaded Rac and Cdc42 proteins.
Molecular Mass : 34 kDa
Protein length : 67-150
Purity : rotein purity is determined by scanning densitometry of Coomassie Blue stained protein on a 12% SDS polyacrylamide gel. GST-PAK-PBD protein is >80% pure.
Stability : The lyophilized protein is stable for 6 months if stored desiccated to <10% humidity at 4 centigrade.
Storage : Briefly centrifuge to collect the product at the bottom of the tube. The protein should be reconstituted to 3 mg/ml by the addition of 83 µl of distilled water. For storage, the reconstituted protein should be aliquoted into experiment sized amounts, snap frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at -70 centigrade. Under these conditions the protein is stable for 6 months. To maintain high biological activity, the protein should not be exposed to repeated freeze thaw cycles.
Gene Name : PAK1 p21 protein (Cdc42/Rac)-activated kinase 1 [ Homo sapiens ]
