Description : |
Csf3 is apleiotropic cytokine best known for its specific effects on theproliferation, differentiation, and activation of hematopoietic cells of theneutrophilic and granulocyte lineage. Csf3 plays an important role in defenseagainst infection, in inflammation and repair, and in the maintenance ofsteady state hematopoiesis. Cell activation by Csf3 is mediated bygranulocyte colony stimulating factor receptor alpha, a 95 105 kDa type Itransmembrane protein and member of the cytokine receptor superfamily, type Icytokine receptor family, and type 2 subfamily of receptor proteins. |

Activity : |
Measuredby its ability to inhibit the Csf3-induced proliferation of NFS-60 mousemyeloid cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.02-0.12μg/mL in the presence of 0.125 ng/mL of recombinant mouse Csf3. |
