Cat. No. : Furin-566M
Description : Furin is a member ofthe proprotein convertase (PC) family, which belongs to the subtilisinsuperfamily of serine proteases. As a cellular protease, Furin processes avariety of proproteins in secretory pathway compartments by cleaving after Arg-Xaa-Lys/Arg-Arg-like motifs, which usually reside at the end of the pro regions ofthese proproteins.
Source : Chinese HamsterOvary cell line, CHO-derived
Form : Supplied as a 0.2 μmfiltered solution in Tris, CaCl2, NaCl, Brij-35 and Glycerol.
N-terminal Sequence : Asp108, Cys198,Ser239, Glu684
Molecular Weight : 77 kDa
Activity : Measured by itsability to cleave the fluorogenic peptide substrate pERTKR-AMC. The specificactivity is > 150 pmoles/min/μg, as measured under the described conditions.
Endotoxin Level : <1.0 EU per 1 μgof the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE : 60-80 kDa, reducingconditions
Purity : >95%, by SDS-PAGEunder reducing conditions and visualized by Colloidal Coomassie® Blue stainat 5 μg per lane.
