Mouse Lgals3bp is generally considered theparalog of human Lgals3bp, which is also called MAC2 binding protein(MAC2BP), or 90 kDa tumor associated antigen (TAA90K or 90K). However, mouseLgals3bp binds cyclophilin C but not Galectin3 (formerly MAC2), while theopposite is true of human Lgals3bp. The 577 amino acid (aa), 77-95 kDa mouseLgals3bp contains an 18 aa signal sequence and four definitive domains.
