Description: BAIAP2 is aubiquitous regulator of the actin cytoskeleton. It mediates filopodiaformation under the control of Rho-family GTPases. BAIAP2 is expressed in thecytoplasm and links small membrane-bound G-proteins to cytoplasmic effectorproteins. This protein functions as an insulin receptor tyrosine kinasesubstrate and suggests a role for insulin in the central nervous system.
