Recombinant Macaca mulatta Interleukin 6 (interferon, beta 2)

Cat. No.: IL6-5433M
Product Overview: Recombinant RhesusMacaque IL6 is a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 186amino acids.
Description: IL6 is a pleiotropic cytokine that plays animportant role in host defense by regulating immune and inflammatoryresponses. Produced by T cells, monocytes, fibroblasts, endothelial cells andkeratinocytes, IL6 has diverse biological functions. It stimulates B-celldifferentiation and antibody production, synergizes with IL-3 inmegakaryocyte development and platelet production, induces expression ofhepatic acute-phase proteins, and regulates bone metabolism. IL6 signalsthrough the IL6 receptor system that consists of two chains, IL6Rα and gp130.
