Recombinant Mouse Insulin-Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 1

Cat. No.: Igfbp1-5643M
Product Overview: RecombinantMouse Igfbp1 protein was expressed in Murine myeloma cellline. Ala26-Asn272.
Description: Theinsulin-like growth factor binding protein (IGFBP) family consists of six structurallyrelated proteins that bind IGF with high affinity. These proteins share conservedcysteine-rich N- and C-terminal regions that participate in IGF binding.IGFBPs regulate the bioavailability of IGFs and modulate their biologicalactivities, both positively and negatively. Some IGFBPs also have intrinsicbioactivity that is IGF-independent. Post-transitional modifications of theIGFBPs, including glycosylation, phosphorylation and proteolysis, influenceIGF binding affinities and tissue localization, affecting both theIGF-dependent and independent functions.
Source: Murine myeloma cellline, NS0-derived.
Form: Suppliedas a 0.2 um filtered solution in Acetonitrile and TFA.
N-terminalSequence: Ala26
MolecularWeight: 27 kDa
Activity: Measuredby its ability to inhibit the biological activity of IGF-I or IGF-II on MCF-7human breast adenocarcinoma cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 3-15μg/mL in the presence of 5 ng/mL rmIGF-I.
Endotoxin Level: <1.0EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE: 34 kDa,reducing conditions.
Purity: >90%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Storage: Use amanual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. 6 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70 °C as supplied. 1month, 2 to 8 °C under sterile conditions after opening.
