Cat. No. : Artn-578M
Description : Artn is a member ofthe Glia CellDerived Neurotrophic factor (GDNF) family ligands, which includeGDNF, Persephin, Artn, and Neurturin. GDNF family ligands are distant membersof the Transforming Growth Factor β (TGFβ) superfamily. Similar to other TGFβfamily proteins, Artn is synthesized as a large precursor protein that iscleaved at the dibasic cleavage site (RXXR) to release the carboxy terminal domain.
Source : E. coli-derived
Form : Lyophilized from a0.2 μm filtered solution in Acetonitrile and TFA with BSA as a carrierprotein.
N-terminalSequence : Ala112
Molecular Weight : 12 kDa (monomer)
Activity : Measured in a cellproliferation assay using SHSY5Y human neuroblastoma cells. The ED50for this effect is typically 2-8 ng/mL. Measured by its binding ability in afunctional ELISA. Immobilized recombinant human GFRα3 Fc Chimera at 2 μg/mL(100 μL/well) can bind Recombinant Mouse Artemin with a linear range of 0.08-10ng/mL.
Endotoxin Level : < 1.0EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Purity : > 97%, by SDSPAGEunder reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution : 100 μg/mL in sterile4 mM HCI containing at least 0.1% human or bovine serum albumin.
Storage : Use a manualdefrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. 12 months from date ofreceipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterile conditionsafter reconstitution. 3 months, -20 to -70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
