Recombinant Mouse Glypican 5, His-tagged

Cat. No.: Gpc5-5628M
Product Overview: RecombinantMouse Gpc5 protein was expressed in Murine myeloma cell line. Gly26-Gly549,with a C-terminal 6-His tag.
Description: Theglypicans (glypiated proteoglycans) are a small multigene family ofGPI-linked proteoglycans that likely play a key role in embryonicmorphogenesis. There are six known mammalian glypicans. They all share a common-sizedprotein core of 60-70 kDa, an N-terminus which likely forms a compact globulardomain, 14 conserved cysteines that form multiple intrachain disulfide bonds, and a number of C-terminal N-and O-linked carbohydrate attachment sites.Based on exon organization and the location of O-linked glycosylation sites,at least two subfamilies of glypicans are known, with one subfamily containingglypicans-1, 2, 4, and 6, and another subfamily containing glypicans-3 and 5.
Source: Murine myeloma cellline, NS0-derived.
Form: Lyophilized from a0.2 um filtered solution in PBS with BSA as a carrier protein.
N-terminalSequence: Gly26
MolecularWeight: 59.1 kDa
Activity: Measuredby its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized rm Gpc5 at5μg/mL (100μL/well) can bind rhFGF-basic with a linear range of 0.16-10ng/mL.
Endotoxin Level: <1.0EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE: 61-65kDa, reducing conditions.
Purity: >95%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution: Reconstituteat 100μg/mL in sterile PBS containing at least 0.1% human or bovine serumalbumin.
Storage: Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freezethawcycles. 12months from date of receipt, -20 to -70 °C as supplied. 1 month, 2 to 8 °Cunder sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3 months, -20 to -70 °C understerile conditions after reconstitution.
