Recombinant Rat Chemokine (C-X3-C motif) Ligand 1

Cat. No.: Cx3cl1-460R
Product Overview: Recombinant Rat Cx3cl1protein was expressed in Sf21. Gln25-Thr334.
Description: Cx3cl1, also named neurotactin, is a member of the delta chemokinesubfamily that contains a novel C-X3-C motif. Unlike other known chemokines, Cx3cl1 is a type 1 membrane protein containing a chemokine domaintethered on a long mucinlike stalk. Rat Cx3cl1cDNA encodes a 393 amino acid (aa) residue precursor protein with two alternative(21 aa or 24 aa residue) putative signal peptides, a 76 aa residue globular chemokinedomain, a 238 aa residue stalk region rich in Gly, Pro, Ser and Thr and containingdegenerate mucinlike repeats, a 19 aa residue transmembrane segment and a 36 aaresidue cytoplasmic domain.
Source: Spodoptera frugiperda,Sf 21 (baculovirus)
Form: Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered solution in PBS with BSA as a carrier protein.
N-terminalSequence: No results obtained:Gln25 predicted
Molecular Weight: 33 kDa
Activity: Measuredby its ability to chemoattract mouse Cx3cl1 transfected BaF3 mouse proB cells. The ED50 forthis effect is typically 0.02-0.08 ng/mL.
Endotoxin Level: <1.0 EUper 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Purity: >97%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Reconstitution: Reconstituteat 100 μg/mL in sterile PBS that containing at least 0.1% human or bovine serumalbumin.
Storage: Use a manualdefrost freezer and avoid repeated freezethaw cycles. 12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied.1 month, 2 to 8°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3 months,-20 to -70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
