Cat. No. : IL8-516H
Description : IL-8 or interleukin 8 is a member of the CXC chemokine family that is one of the major mediators of the inflammatory response and several cell types secrete this chemokine. It functions as a chemoattractant, and is also a potent angiogenic factor. IL-8 plays an essential role in the pathogenesis of bronchiolitis, a common respiratory tract disease caused by viral infection. IL8 is produced and released from human adipose tissue and from isolated adipocytes in vitro, which may indicate that IL8 from adipose tissue could be involved in some obesity-related complications.
Applications : Cell Assay
Molecular Weight : 11.3 kDa
Expression System : E.coli
Species : Human
Form : Recombinant 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug) of IL-8.
