Recombinant Human TIMP Metallopeptidase Inhibitor 3, GST-tagged

Cat.No. : TIMP3-2529H
Product Overview : The protein was expressed as gst-tagged fusion protein by E.Coli and puri?ed by GSH-sepharose. The puri?ed protein was resolved in 1M PBS (58mM Na2HPO4,17mM NaH2PO4, 68mM NaCl,pH8. ) added with 100mM GSH and 1% Triton X-100,15%glycerol.

Description : Metalloproteinase inhibitor 3 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the TIMP3 gene. This gene belongs to the tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases gene family. The proteins encoded by this gene family are inhibitors of the matrix metalloproteinases, a group of peptidases involved in degradation of the extracellular matrix (ECM). Expression of this gene is induced in response to mitogenic stimulation and this netrin domain-containing protein is localized to the ECM. Mutations in this gene have been associated with the autosomal dominant disorder Sorsby"s fundus dystrophy.
