Description : This gene encodes a glycosyl phosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked glycoprotein that localizes to the surface of platelets, activated T-cells, and endothelial cells. The protein binds to and negatively regulates signalling by transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta). Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Source : Mammalian cells
Species : Human
Tag : His
Predicted N Terminal : Val22
Form : Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered solution in PBS.
Bio-activity : Measured by its ability to bind TGF-beta 1 in a functional ELISA. Immobilized rhTGF-beta 1 at 1 µg/mL (100 µL/well) can bind rhCD109 with an apparent KD < 0.1 µM.
Molecular Mass : Predicted Molecular Mass: 141 kDaSDS-PAGE: 155-165 kDa, reducing conditions
Purity : >90%, by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by silver stain.
Storage : Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70 °C as supplied.1 month, 2 to 8 °C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.3 months, -20 to -70 °C under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Reconstitution : Reconstitute at 100 µg/mL in sterile PBS.
Shipping : The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below.
