Description : Calreticulin is a multifunctional protein that binds Ca2+ ions (a second messenger molecule in signal transduction), rendering it inactive. The Ca2+ is bound with low affinity, but high capacity, and can be released on a signal (see inositol triphosphate). Calreticulin is located in storage compartments associated with the endoplasmic reticulum.

Formulation : The protein solution (1mg/ml) contains 6M Urea, 500mM NaCl and 10mM Tris pH8.0.

Protein Content : Protein quantitation was carried out by using 0.25 -2.0 mg/ml Bradford assay vs. BSA.
Western Blot : Strongly reactive with human anti RO/SS-A.
Stability : Lyophilized RO-52 although stable at 4°Cfor 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
