Product Overview: Recombinant murine MCP-2 produced inE. coliis an 8.5 kDa protein containing 74 amino acid residues including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in the CC chemokines.
Description: The MCP proteins belong to the CC chemokine family, and signal through CCR2 and, with the exception of MCP-1, other CCR receptors. The MCP proteins chemoattract and activate monocytes, activated T cells, basophils, NK cells, and immature dendritic cells. The MCP family cross- reacts across species.

Purity: > 99% by SDS-PAGE.
Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human peripheral blood monocytes using a concentration range of 10.0-100.0 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level: < 0.1 ng per μg of MCP-2.
Stabilizer: None.
Reconstitution: The murine MCP-2 should be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can be diluted in water or other buffer solutions or stored at -20°C.
Stability: The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at -20°C. Reconstituted murine MCP-2 should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
