Cat. No. : EIF3I-1534H
Description : Eukaryotic initiation factor 3 (eIF3) is the largest of the eIFs and consists of at least 10 nonidentical subunits in mammals. In S. cerevisiae, the p39 subunit of eIF3 contains WD repeats, which are thought to mediate protein-protein interactions. The p39 protein appears to be essential for maintaining the integrity of the yeast eIF3 complex. The mammalian eIF3-p36 subunit is homologous to yeast p39.

Ask a question
What is the mechanism of EIF3I protein in protein translation? 06/19/2021

The protein is part of the EIF3 complex, which is involved in mRNA recognition and ligation by interacting with other EIF3 subunits, facilitating the post-transcriptional protein translation process.

Is EIF3I protein involved in cell cycle regulation? 06/02/2021

EIF3I protein may be associated with cell cycle regulation. Some studies have shown that the expression level of EIF3I protein may vary at different stages of the cell cycle, but the specific regulatory mechanism needs further study.

Is there an interaction between the EIF3I protein and other EIF3 subunits? 01/06/2021

Yes, the EIF3I protein can interact with other EIF3 subunits to form the EIF3 complex. The interaction between these subunits is to synergistically regulate the progress of protein synthesis.

Is there a difference in the expression level of EIF3I protein in different tissues? 08/30/2020

Yes, there are differences in the expression levels of EIF3I protein in different tissues. For example, in some tumor tissues, the expression level of the EIF3I protein is significantly elevated.

What research evidence is available for the role of EIF3I protein in disease development? 08/02/2020

EIF3I protein is associated with the occurrence and progression of a variety of diseases. For example, in some tumor cells, elevated levels of EIF3I protein are associated with enhanced proliferation, invasion, and metastasis of tumor cells. In addition, the EIF3I protein has been linked to some neurological diseases, such as Parkinson's disease.

Are there drugs that regulate the expression or function of EIF3I protein? 03/24/2020

There are currently no specific drugs designed to regulate the expression or function of the EIF3I protein. However, drug discovery targeting the EIF3 complex may affect the function of the EIF3I protein.
