||Recombinant human ADAMTS-1 (residues 253 to 617 of full-length human ADAMTS-1) with his tag protein, was expressed in abaculovirussystem and purified from insect cells, 50 kDa.
||Aggrecanases are glutamyl-specific multidomain metalloproteinases of the ADAMTS (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs) family. They hydrolyze aggrecan, the major proteoglycan of articular cartilage, causing osteoarthritis and other joint diseases. ADAMTS-1 has also been shown to cleave versican, which is the principal large proteoglycan expressed in mid-tendon.
||Activity (mU/mg) is specified on the vial.
||One milliunit of protease hydrolyzes 1 nanomole of aggrecan interglobular domain substrate per minute at pH 7.5 at 37°C.
||> 90% as estimated by SDS-PAGE.
||50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 150 mM NaCl, 5 mM CaCl2, 0.05% Brij-35.
||Used as a positive control in FRET-based and aggrecan enzyme activity assays, Western blot, IP, and ELISA.
||Store at -80°C. Avoid multiple thaw-freeze cycles.
