Cat. No. : TNFRSF1B-2349H
Description : TNFRII , also known as TNFRSF1B, is a member to the TNFR (tumor necrosis factor receptor) superfamily characterized by cysteine-rich extracellular domains. TNFRII is expressed in fetal brain. The protein is produced naturally as a soluble form (sTNFRII). The soluble receptor inhibits TNFα action by competing with cell surface receptors in binding TNFα, thereby blocking its biologic effects. TNFRII is strongly expressed at the cartilage–pannus junction, and plays a major role in a subset of families with multiple cases of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Further, high plasma levels of sTNFRII were significantly associated with increased incidence of coronary heart disease, independent of established cardiovascular risk factors, and seems to be useful for monitoring the inflammatory activity of sarcoidosis.
Source : Human Cells.
Formulation : Supplied as a 0.2μm filtered solution of PBS, pH7.4.
Purity : >97 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Endotoxin : < 1.0 EU per 1μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Bio-activity : Measured by its ability to inhibit the TNF-α mediated cytotoxicity in the L-929 mouse fibrosarcoma cells in the presence of the metabolic inhibitor actinomycin D. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.68 μg / mL in the presence of 0.25 ng/mL recombinant human TNF-α.
Molecular Mass : The recombinant human TNFRII comprises 246 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 26.7 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rh TNFRII is approximately 42-45 kDa due to glycosylation.
Reconstitution : Follow the instructions on the vial. Centrifuge the vial at 4℃ before opening to recover the entire contents.
Stability : Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -70℃.
Predicted N Terminal : Leu 23.
Storage : Store it under sterile conditions at -70℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
