Cat. No. : Omd-3298M
Description : Mouse Osteomodulin, also known as Osteoadherin, Keratan sulfate proteoglycan osteomodulin, KSPG osteomodulin, OSAD, SLRR2C and OMD, is a secreted protein which belongs to the small leucine-rich proteoglycan (SLRP) family and Class II subfamily. SLRP family proteins are normally found in extracellular matrices, but Osteomodulin / OMD is the only member restricted to mineralized tissues. Osteomodulin / OMD is primarily expressed by osteoblasts and might have a role in regulation of mineralization. Osteomodulin / OMD was primarily present in bone trabeculae and no staining was seen in cartilage.
Source : Human Cells.
Molecular Mass : The secreted recombinant mouse OMD comprises 414 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 48.8 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the recombinant protein is approximately 60-70 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Predicted N Terminal : Gln 21.
Purity : > 96 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation : Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4.
Endotoxin : < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Reconstitution : A hardcopy of COA with reconstitution instruction is sent along with the products. Please refer to it for detailed information.
Storage And Stability : Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -700C. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
