Recombinant Human Pyridoxal (Pyridoxine, Vitamin B6) Kinase, His-tagged

Cat. No.: PDXK-2865H
Product Overview: Recombinant human PDXK protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. MW = 37.6 kDa (336aa) confirmed by MALDI-TOF.
Description: PDXK converts vitamin B6 to pyridoxal-5-phosphate (PLP), an essential cofactor in the intermediate metabolism of amino acids and neurotransmitters. The encoded protein is cytoplasmic and probably acts as a homodimer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, but their biological validity has not been determined.
Source: E.coli.
