Description : | BMP10 is a polypeptide belonging to the TGF-β superfamily of proteins. It is a novel protein that, unlike most other BMP"s, is likely to be involved in the tabeculation of the heart. Bone morphogenetic proteins are known for their ability to induce bone and cartilage development. BMP10 is categorized as a BMP since it shares a large sequence homology with other BMP"s in the TGF-β superfamily. |
Source : | E.coli. |
Purity : | >98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses. Endotoxin level is <0.1 ng per g of BMP-10. |
Form : | Sterile filtered and lyophilized with no additives. |
Biological Activity : | The protein is biologically active as determined by its ability to induce alkaline phosphatase production by C2C12 cells. The ED50 is in the range of 0.3-3μg/ml. |
Storage : | The lyophilized protein is best-stored desiccated below 0℃.Reconstituted BMP-10 should be stored in working aliquots at -20℃. |
