Recombinant Human Thymidine Phosphorylase, His-tagged

Cat. No.: TYMP-799H
Product Overview: Recombinant human TYMP protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. MW = 51.3 kDa (493aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF.
Description: Thymidine phosphorylase precursor, also known TYMP, is a platelet-derived endothelial cell growth factor that catalyzes the formation of thymine and 2-deoxy-D-ribose-1-phosphate from thymidine and orthophosphate. It is an angiogenic inducer that potently stimulates the growth of endothelial cells and induces chemotaxis. Increased expression of TYMP is seen in a wide variety of different solid tumors and inflammatory diseases and is often associated with poor prognosis.
Source: E.coli.
