Description : | Acidic fibroblast growth factor (aFGF), also known as heparin-binding growth factor (HBGF-1) and FGF-1, is a member of FGF family who are involved in a variety of biological processes. aFGF is considered to function in several important physiological and pathological processes, such as embryonic development, morphogenesis, angiogenesis, wound healing and atheromatosis. This protein acts as a mitogen for a variety of mesoderm- and neuroectoderm-derived cells in vitro and stimulates cell growth, migration, and differentiation. |
Molecular Mass : | The recombinant human FGF acidic consists of 141 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 16 Kda as estimated by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. |
Source : | E.Coli. |
Predicted N Terminal : | Met 1. |
Purity : | ﹥98% as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
Formulation : | Supplied as a 0.2μm filtered solution of PBS, pH7.4. |
Stability : | Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt -70oC. |
Endotoxin : | < 1.0 EU per 1 μg of the cytokine as determined by the LAL method. |
Reconstitution : | Follow the instructions on the vial. Centrifuge the vial at 4℃ before opening to recover the entire contents. |
Storage : | Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Store it under sterile conditions at -70℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. |
