Product overview : | Recombinant Human CEACAM5 (P06731) fused with His tag was produced in HEK293F cells. |
Description : | This gene encodes a cell surface glycoprotein that represents the founding member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family of proteins. The encoded protein is used as a clinical biomarker for gastrointestinal cancers and may promote tumor development through its role as a cell adhesion molecule. Additionally, the encoded protein may regulate differentiation, apoptosis, and cell polarity. This gene is present in a CEA family gene cluster on chromosome 19. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. |
Source : | HEK293F |
Species : | Human |
Tag : | His |
Form : | Freeze-dried powder |
Endotoxin : | <1.0EU per 1ug (determined by the LAL method) |
Purity : | > 97% |
Applications : | Positive Control; Immunogen; SDS-PAGE; WB. If bio-activity of the protein is needed, please check active protein. |
Stability : | The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37°C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. |

Write a reviewCEACAM5 protein has exhibited remarkable performance in Western Blotting experiments.
This enhanced visibility and distinctness of the protein bands greatly aided in the accurate analysis and interpretation of my Western Blotting results.
Its reliability, versatility, and ability to deliver clear and reliable results make it a top choice for researchers in need of a high-quality protein for their experiments.
Q&As (5)
Ask a questionCEACAM5 can be a helpful marker, but it is not typically used for early cancer detection.
CEACAM5 is not specific to a single cancer type and may also be elevated in non-cancerous conditions.
Conditions like hepatitis, pancreatitis, and some non-cancerous gastrointestinal diseases can also elevate CEACAM5 levels.
CEACAM5 levels are monitored to assess the effectiveness of cancer treatment and to detect cancer recurrence.
Yes, CEACAM5 levels can vary between individuals due to genetic factors and other individual-specific variables.
