Cat. No. : CSF1-5383H
Description : Recombinant humanCSF1 (Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor) contains 158 amino acids and a 16amino acid Histidine-based tag for a total length of 174 amino acids. Thepredicted molecular weight of the recombinant M-CSF with His tag polypeptideis 20.4 kDa, but the recombinant protein migrates with an apparent molecularmass of 21 kDa in SDS-PAGE.
Source : Hordeum vulgare(barley grain). Barley grain exhibits up to 50 times less protease activitythan E. coli or mammalian cells. Barley seed is void of any human or animalviral contaminants that could jeopardize cell culture.
Species : Human
Form : Lyophilized from a0.2 µm sterile filtered solution in 5 mM Tris-HCl + 80 mM Arginine, pH8.0.
Molecular Weight : 21 kDa
Purity : > 98% asdetermined by SDS-PAGE analysis
Biological Activity : Determined bymeasuring the dose-dependent effect of human M-CSF on proliferation ofM-NFS-60 cells. The ED50 range is 0.51-0.76 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level : < 0.005 ng/µg of CSF1
Reconstitution : Centrifuge vialprior to opening. First add sterile distilled water to the vial to fullysolubilize the protein to a concentration of 0.1-0.7 mg/ml. After completesolubilization of the protein, it can be further diluted to other aqueoussolutions.
Storage : Store lyophilizedprotein at -20°C and reconstituted protein in working aliquots at -20°C witha carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) as a stabilizer for long term storage. Please note that theaddition of any carrier protein into this product may produce unwantedendotoxin. This depends upon the particular application employed.
