Description : Interferon beta (IFN-beta ), also known as fibroblast IFN, is a secreted, approximately 22 kDa member of the type I interferon family of molecules. Interferon beta has antiviral, antibacterial and anticancer activities. Signals mostly via binding to a IFNAR1-IFNAR2 heterodimeric receptor, but can also function with IFNAR1 alone and independently of Jak-STAT pathways.
