Description : Member of the IL-1 family, IL-37 functions to curb excessive inflammation. In partnership with SMAD3, IL-37 suppresses, or reduces, proinflammatory cytokine production, including IL1A and IL6, as well as CCL12, CSF1, CSF2, CXCL13, IL1B, IL23A and IL1RN, but spares anti-inflammatory cytokines. Out of the five isoforms for IL-37 (a-e), this product represents isoform B that is expressed in testis, colon, placenta, lung and lymph node similar to isoform A and C but is the only one found in kidneys.
Source : E. coli
Species : Human
Form : Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS and DTT
Molecular Mass : 19.5 kDa
Endotoxin : <1.0 EU/μg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.
Purity : >95%
Applications : Cell Assay
Storage : The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70 centigrade. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2 centigrade - 8 centigrade for one month, or at -20 centigrade for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Reconstitution : Reconstitute at 100 μg/mL in sterile PBS
