| Description : |
KRT8 also known ascytokeratin-8 (CK-8) or keratin-8 (K8) is a keratin protein that in human isencoded by the KRT8 gene. It is often paired with keratin 18. KRT8 can beused to differentiate lobular carcinoma of the breast from ductal carcinomaof the breast. KRT8 is often used together with keratin 18 and keratin 19 todifferentiate cells of epithelial origin from hematopoietic cells in teststhat enumerate circulating tumor cells in blood. |

| Purity : |
> 95% asdetermined by RP-HPLC and SDS-PAGE analyses |
| Endotoxin Level : |
< 0.1 ng/µg ofKRT8 |
| Reconstitution : |
Centrifuge vialprior to opening. First add sterile distilled water to the vial to fully solubilizethe protein to a concentration not less than 100 µg/ml. After complete solubilizationof the protein, it can be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. |
| Storage : |
Store lyophilizedprotein at -20°C to -80°C. Reconstituted protein is stable for 1 week at 2-4°C.For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C with a carrierprotein (0.1% HSA or BSA) as a stabilizer. Please note that the addition ofany carrier protein into this product may produce unwanted endotoxin. Thisdepends upon the particular application employed. Avoid repeated freeze-thawcycles. |
