Description : MMP3 (matrixmetalloproteinase 3), otherwise known as stromelysin-1, is a member of afamily of secreted zinc-dependent endoproteases, which play a role in thedegradation of extracellular matrix (ECM) components, including bothfibrillar and non-fibrillar collagens, laminin, basement membrane glycoproteinand fibronectin.
