• Description: DNA polymerase µ is a member of the X family DNA polymerases. Human Polµ is unique in that it is highly prone to frameshift DNA synthesis. This polymerase is also capable of translesion synthesis in vitro. Polµ may play a role in non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) for double strand break DNA repair.
