| Description : |
60S acidic ribosomalprotein P2,also known as RPLP2, belongs to the L12P family of ribosomal proteins. Thisgene encodes a ribosomal phosphoprotein that is a component of the 60Ssubunit. It is a functional equivalent of the E. coli L7/L12 ribosomalprotein. RPLP2 is located in the cytoplasm. It plays an important role in theelongation step of protein synthesis. Unlike most ribosomal proteins, whichare basic, the encoded protein is acidic. |
