Cat. No. : WNT3A-1700H
Description : Wingless-type MMTV integration site family, member 3A, also known as WNT3A is an intercellular signaling molecule. WNT3A is expressed extensively in cells fated to give rise to embryonic mesoderm. Wnt-3a regulates survival, expansion, and maintenance of neural progenitors derived from embryonic stem cells. It has been reported that Wnt-3a supports self-renewal of embryonic stem cells and can maintain these cells in a pluripotent state. Wnt-3a is also considered a ligand that activates the beta-catenin-dependent pathway in Wnt signaling, which is implicated in numerous physiological events such as morphogenesis.
Source : CHO.
State Of Matter : Lyophilized.
Purity : >75% as determined by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
Endotoxin : <0.1 EU/µg as determined by the LAL method.
Molecular Weight : The predicted molecular weight of Recombinant Human WNT-3a (Ser19 - Lys352) is Mr 37.4 kDa. However, the actual molecular weight as observed by migration on SDS Page is Mr 40 kDa.
Formulation : The protein was 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from PBS, 1.0 mM EDTA, 0.5% CHAPS, pH 6.8.
Biological Activity : The biological activity of Human WNT-3a was determined by its ability to promote alkaline phosphatase production by MC3T3E1 cells. The expected ED50 is 5-25 ng/ml.
Storage And Stability : This lyophilized protein is stable for six to twelve months when stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C. After aseptic reconstitution, this protein may be stored at 2°C to 8°C for one month or at -20°C to -70°C for up to three months in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
