Recombinant Mouse Ifna1 Protein, His-tagged

Cat.No.: Ifna1-429M
Product Overview: Recombinant Mouse Ifna1 (NP_034632.2) (Cys24-Lys189) was expressed with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
Description: IFNA1, also known as IFN-alpha and IFNA, belongs to the alpha/beta interferon family. Interferons(IFNs) are proteins made and released by host cells in response to the presence of pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, parasites or tumor cells. They belong to the large class of glycoproteins known as cytokines. IFNs stimulate the production of two enzymes: a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase. They allow for communication between cells to trigger the protective defenses of the immune system that eradicate pathogens or tumors. IFNs can activate immune cells, such as natural killer cells and macrophages; they increase recognition of infection or tumor cells by up-regulating antigen presentation to T lymph centigradeytes; and they also increase the ability of uninfected host cells to resist new infection by virus.Leuk centigradeyte interferon is produced predominantly by B lymph centigradeytes. Immune interferon is produced by mitogen- or antigen-stimulated T lymph centigradeytes. IFNA1 is produced by macrophages and has antiviral activities.
Source: Yeast
Species: Mouse
Tag : His

Form: Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4. Normally 5 %- 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Bio-activity: Measured in antiviral assays using L929 cells infected with vesicular stomatitisvirus (VSV). The ED50 for this effect is 3-15pg/mL.
Molecular Mass: The recombinant mouse Ifna1 consists of 176 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 20.5 kDa
Protein length: Cys24-Lys189
Endotoxin: < 1.0 EU per μg protein as determined by the LAL method.
Purity: > 90 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage: Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at-70 centigrade. Store it under sterile conditions at-20 centigrade to-80 centigrade. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitution: It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.2 ug/ul. Centrifuge the vial at 4ºC before opening to recover the entire contents.
