Description : Yeast Ulp1 is a highly active protease which specifically recognizes the tertiary structure of ubiquitin-like protein, SUMO rather than a short sequence as other
commonly used proteases such as Thrombin, TEV, and EK. The protease can be used to cleave the SUMO from recombinant fusion proteins at 30 centigrade or 4 centigrade at pH 7.0-7.9. After digestion, the His-Tagged Ulp1 can be easily removed by His tag affinity chromatography.
Source : E. coli
Species : S. cerevisiae
Form : 50 mM Tris-HCl, (pH7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 1 mM DTT, and 50% glycerol.
Molecular Mass : 27 kDa
Unit Definition : 1U cleaves 85% of 100 ug of sumo-fusion protein at 30 centigrade for 1 hour or 80% at 4 centigrade overnight in a buffer containing 50 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5), 100 mM NaCl, 1 mM DTT, and 10% glycerol.
