Official Full Name
interleukin 36, gamma

Background
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. The activity of this cytokine is mediated by interleukin 1 receptor-like 2 (IL1RL2/IL1R-rp2), and is specifically inhibited by interleukin 1 family, member 5 (IL1F5/IL-1 delta). Interferon-gamma, tumor necrosis factor-alpha and interleukin 1, beta (IL1B) are reported to stimulate the expression of this cytokine in keratinocytes. The expression of this cytokine in keratinocytes can also be induced by a contact hypersensitivity reaction or herpes simplex virus infection. This gene and eight other interleukin 1 family genes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. Ask a questionIt is currently mainly used in the treatment of skin inflammatory diseases, and the therapeutic potential of other inflammatory diseases needs further study.
It is mainly used in the research of the mechanism of skin inflammation and the development of new drugs.
The production of IL36G usually adopts genetic engineering technology, its genes are introduced into the expression host, and pure is obtained through fermentation, purification and other steps.
IL36G can be targeted to inhibit inflammation by directly acting on inflammation-related signaling pathways, which may be more effective than other drugs.
IL36G activates inflammation-related signaling pathways by binding to its receptors, promoting the activation of immune cells and the release of inflammatory factors.
The side effects of IL36G may include skin irritation, allergic reactions, etc. The specific side effects can vary from individual to individual.
