Cat. No. : |
SERPINE1-5117H |
Product Overview : |
Recombinant human SERPINE1was expressed in E. coli. |
Description : |
SERPINE1 is amember of the serpin family of serine protease inhibitors, and is the primaryinhibitor of urokinase and tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). SERPINE1 is expressed predominantly in adipose, liver and vascular tissues, and is also produced by certain tumor cells.Elevated levels of SERPINE1 are associatedwith obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and increased productionof SERPINE1 is induced by various obesityrelated factors such as TNFa, glucose, insulin, and very-low-densitylipoprotein. The obesity related elevation of SERPINE1levels along with the consequential deficiency in plasminogen activators canlead directly to increased risk of thrombosis and other coronary diseases. |
