Recombinant Human Hyaluronoglucosaminidase 4, His-tagged

Cat. No.: HYAL4-1973H
Product Overview: RecombinantHuman HYAL4 protein was expressed in Chinese HamsterOvary cell line. Cys34-Pro462, with an N-terminal CD33signals sequence and a C-terminal 6-His tag.
Description: Humanhyaluronidases (HYALs) are a group of five endoβ-N-acetyl-hexosaminidases thatinclude HYAL1, HYAL2, HYAL3, HYAL4, and SPAM1 (PH20). While HYAL1, HYAL2 andSPAM1 are endoβ-N-acetyl-glucosaminidase that are mainly active on hyaluronanwith little activity on chondroitin sulfate, HYAL4 is the only known endoβ-N-acetyl-galactosaminidasethat is mainly active on chondroitin sulfate (type C and D in particular)with no activity on hyaluronan. Hyaluronan and chondroitin sulfate areabundant extracellular matrix components that have numerous biologicalfunctions.
Source: Chinese HamsterOvary cell line, CHO-derived.
Form: Supplied as a 0.2 μmfiltered solution in Tris, NaCl and Glycerol.
N-terminalSequence: Cys34
MolecularWeight: 49 kDa
Activity: Measuredby its ability to hydrolyze S-35 labeled bovine cartilage chondroitin sulfate< 500 ng of rhHYAL4 is required for the 50% hydrolysis of 10 μgchondroitin sulfate, as measured under the described conditions.
Endotoxin Level: <1.0EU per 1μg of the protein by the LAL method.
SDS-PAGE: 66-85kDa, reducing conditions.
Purity: >95%,by SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions and visualized by Colloidal CoomassieBlue stain at 5 ug per lane.
Storage: Use amanual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freezethaw cycles. 6 monthsfrom date of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied. 3 months,-20to-70°C under sterile conditions after opening.
