Recombinant Human HMGA1, His-tagged

Cat. No.: HMGA1-3597H
Product Overview: Recombinant human HMGA1 protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques (1-107 aa).
Description: High mobility group protein HMG-I/HMG-Y, also known as HMGA1, is a member of the non-histone chromosomal high mobility group protein (HMG) family. HMGA1 consists of a highly conserved AT-hook DNA-binding domain that mediates binding to AT-rich sequences in the minor groove of chromosomal DNA. It functions as architectural chromatin-binding transcription factor altering the conformation of DNA by modulating nuclear protein-DNA complexes. It is involved in many cellular processes including growth regulation, viral induction of beta-IFN gene and regulation of inducible gene transcription.
Form: Liquid. In 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 1mM DTT, 50% glycerol, 0.2M NaCl
Molecular Weight: 12.7 kDa (115aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF (Molecular weight on SDS-PAGE will appear higher)
Purity: > 90% by SDS - PAGE
Concentration: 0.25 mg/ml (determined by Bradford assay)
Storage: Can be stored at +4°C short term (1-2 weeks). For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or -70°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
