Recombinant Human ELK1, His-tagged, Myc-tagged

Cat.No. : ELK1-31H
Product Overview : Recombinant Human ELK-1 (amino acids 307-428) is produced inE.Colias a maltose binding protein (MBP) fusion protein with an amino-terminal polyhistidine tag and a c-terminal myc tag (EQKLISEEDL), and having a molecular mass of 60 kDa. Elk-1 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Cat. No. : ELK1-31H
Description : Elk-1 is a transcription factor that is activated by mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) and whose main function is the regulation of growth-related proteins in response to extracellular stimuli. Because of the importance of Elk-1 to the regulation of successful cell growth, accurate monitoring of Elk-1 in cells, tissues and animals is crucial for many biomedical research and drug development projects.
Source : Escherichia Coli.
Purity : Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Formulation : ELK-1 is supplied as lyophilized freeze dry powder without additives.
Biological Activity : Recombinant human Elk-1 is phosphorylatable in vitro, using either recombinant active ERK1/2, or with immunoprecipitated ERK1/2 from stimulated cells. This phosphorylation can be monitored by Western blot analysis. Optimization of the cell stimulation protocol, cell lysis procedure, and reaction conditions may be required for each specific application. Please note: Kinase activity may vary depending on the substrate and reaction conditions.
Storage : Store at 2-8°C if entire vial will be used within 1-2 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
