Description : Antigen standard for perforin 1 (pore forming protein) (PRF1), transcript variant 1 is a lysate prepared from HEK293T cells transiently transfected with a TrueORF gene-carrying pCMV plasmid and then lysed in RIPA Buffer. Protein concentration was determined using a colorimetric assay. The antigen control carries a C-terminal Myc/DDK tag for detection.
Source : HEK 293 cells
Species : Human
Components : This product includes 3 vials: 1 vial of gene-specific cell lysate, 1 vial of control vector cell lysate, and 1 vial of loading buffer. Each lysate vial contains 0.1 mg lysate in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of RIPA Buffer (50 mM Tris-HCl pH7.5, 250 mM NaCl, 5 mM EDTA, 50 mM NaF, 1% NP40). The loading buffer vial contains 0.5 ml 2X SDS Loading Buffer (125 mM Tris-Cl, pH6.8, 10% glycerol, 4% SDS, 0.002% Bromophenol blue, 5% beta-mercaptoethanol).
Size : 0.1 mg
Storage Instruction : Store at -80°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. After addition of 2X SDS Loading Buffer, the lysates can be stored at -20°C. Product is guaranteed 6 months from the date of shipment.
Applications : ELISA, WB, IP. WB: Mix equal volume of lysates with 2X SDS Loading Buffer. Boil the mixture for 10 min before loading (for membrane protein lysates, incubate the mixture at room temperature for 30 min). Load 5 ug lysate per lane.

Ask a question
What signaling pathways or stimuli influence the expression of perforin (PRF1) in immune cells? 07/09/2022

Signaling pathways and stimuli such as T cell receptor (TCR) activation and exposure to infected cells influence the expression of perforin (PRF1) in immune cells.

In which immune cells is PRF1 expression particularly upregulated or modulated? 04/23/2022

PRF1 expression is particularly upregulated or modulated in cytotoxic immune cells such as cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) and natural killer (NK) cells.

Are there specific diseases or conditions associated with dysregulation or abnormal expression of PRF1? 08/19/2021

Dysregulation or abnormal expression of PRF1 is associated with conditions like hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and certain autoimmune disorders.

How does perforin (PRF1) expression change under conditions of immune activation or response? 05/05/2021

Perforin (PRF1) expression changes during immune activation, often being upregulated in response to various stimuli.

What factors influence the balance between upregulation and downregulation of PRF1 in immune cells? 09/04/2018

The balance between upregulation and downregulation of PRF1 is influenced by various factors, including the type of immune response and the microenvironment.

What is the significance of altered PRF1 expression in the context of immune surveillance and cytotoxicity? 10/14/2017

Altered PRF1 expression is significant for immune surveillance, as it plays a crucial role in the cytotoxicity of immune cells against infected or aberrant cells.

How does PRF1 contribute to immune responses against infected or aberrant cells, and what is its role in cytotoxicity? 04/29/2017

PRF1 contributes to immune responses by enabling immune cells to induce apoptosis in target cells, contributing to cytotoxicity.
