Description : Antigen standard for heme oxygenase (decycling) 1 (HMOX1) is a lysate prepared from HEK293T cells transiently transfected with a TrueORF gene-carrying pCMV plasmid and then lysed in RIPA Buffer. Protein concentration was determined using a colorimetric assay. The antigen control carries a C-terminal Myc/DDK tag for detection.
Source : HEK 293 cells
Species : Human
Components : This product includes 3 vials: 1 vial of gene-specific cell lysate, 1 vial of control vector cell lysate, and 1 vial of loading buffer. Each lysate vial contains 0.1 mg lysate in 0.1 ml (1 mg/ml) of RIPA Buffer (50 mM Tris-HCl pH7.5, 250 mM NaCl, 5 mM EDTA, 50 mM NaF, 1% NP40). The loading buffer vial contains 0.5 ml 2X SDS Loading Buffer (125 mM Tris-Cl, pH6.8, 10% glycerol, 4% SDS, 0.002% Bromophenol blue, 5% beta-mercaptoethanol).
Size : 0.1 mg
Storage Instruction : Store at -80°C. Minimize freeze-thaw cycles. After addition of 2X SDS Loading Buffer, the lysates can be stored at -20°C. Product is guaranteed 6 months from the date of shipment.
Applications : ELISA, WB, IP. WB: Mix equal volume of lysates with 2X SDS Loading Buffer. Boil the mixture for 10 min before loading (for membrane protein lysates, incubate the mixture at room temperature for 30 min). Load 5 ug lysate per lane.

Ask a question
Can you discuss the role of HMOX1 in modulating the immune response in the context of infectious diseases, and how its induction may impact host-pathogen interactions? 03/02/2022

HMOX1 modulates the immune response during infectious diseases, influencing host-pathogen interactions. Its induction can contribute to an anti-inflammatory environment and impact the outcome of infections.

How does HMOX1 contribute to the regulation of iron homeostasis, and what are the molecular mechanisms involved in its interaction with iron-responsive elements? 06/10/2020

HMOX1 regulates iron homeostasis by releasing free iron during heme degradation. Its interaction with iron-responsive elements influences cellular iron levels and responses to iron availability.

What is the relationship between HMOX1 and oxidative stress-induced autophagy, and how does this connection influence cellular responses to stressors? 01/23/2019

HMOX1 is linked to oxidative stress-induced autophagy, contributing to cellular adaptation and survival. This connection influences the cellular response to stressors by promoting self-cleaning mechanisms.

Can you discuss the role of HMOX1 in vascular health and its impact on endothelial function, particularly in the context of cardiovascular diseases? 12/18/2018

HMOX1 plays a role in vascular health by protecting endothelial cells. Its anti-inflammatory and vasodilatory effects contribute to cardiovascular protection and may have implications for disease prevention.

How does HMOX1 participate in the modulation of the immune response, and what are the mechanisms by which it influences inflammatory pathways? 10/14/2018

HMOX1 modulates the immune response by suppressing inflammation. It inhibits pro-inflammatory pathways by influencing transcription factors and inhibiting the production of inflammatory mediators.
