Description : ADAM 10 is a member of the ADAM family of membrane-anchored cell surface proteins, which contain both a disintegrin and a metalloprotease domain. ADAM 10 is expressed in a wide variety of tissues and resides on both the cell surface and within the cytoplasm. ADAM10 has been implicated in proteolytic release of a number of cell surface proteins in particular TNF alpha.
