Description: β-synuclein (amino acids 1-134), an acidic neuronal protein of 134 amino acids, is extremely heat-resistant. β-synucelin also has a chaperone-like activity. Recently, β-synuclein has been suggested to inhibit β-synuclein aggregation.

Characterization: On SDS-PAGE commassie blue stained gel, the purified recombinant protein shows a band at 51kDa.

Storage: Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
