Cat.No. : PDE8B-30225TH
Product Overview : Recombinant fragment of Human PDE8B with N-terminal proprietary tag, 115kDa.
Description : The protein encoded by this gene is a cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase (PDE) that catalyzes the hydrolysis of the second messenger cAMP. The encoded protein, which does not hydrolyze cGMP, is resistant to several PDE inhibitors. Defects in this gene are a cause of autosomal dominant striatal degeneration (ADSD). Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Protein length : 773 amino acids
Molecular Weight : 115.000kDa inclusive of tags
Source : Baculovirus infected sf9 cells
Tissue specificity : Abundantly expressed in the thyroid. Also very weakly expressed in brain, spinal cord and placenta. In the thyroid isoform 1 predominates, and isoforms 2 and 6 are also highly expressed. In the placenta isoforms 1 and 2 are expressed equally. In the brain
Biological activity : The Specific activity of PDE8B-30225TH was determined to be 40 nmol/min/mg.
Form : Liquid
Purity : by SDS-PAGE
Storage buffer : Preservative: NoneConstituents: 25% Glycerol, 50mM Tris HCl, 150mM Sodium chloride, 10mM Glutathione, 0.25mM DTT, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.1mM PMSF, pH 7.5
Storage : Shipped on dry ice. Upon delivery aliquot and store at -80oC. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.
Sequence Similarities : Belongs to the cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase family. PDE8 subfamily.Contains 1 PAS (PER-ARNT-SIM) domain.
Gene Name : PDE8B phosphodiesterase 8B [ Homo sapiens ]
Official Symbol : PDE8B
Synonyms : PDE8B; phosphodiesterase 8B; high affinity cAMP-specific and IBMX-insensitive 3,5-cyclic phosphodiesterase 8B;
